In 2003, Austrian-born Heinz Krassnig, and his partner, Maria Runggaldier from Italy, realized a lifelong dream when they established a bed-and-breakfast & vacation farm near the small town of Dublin, Georgia, USA. After travelling to the United States many times, visiting more than 55 properties in several southeastern states, the couple located a picturesque 30-acre farm setting in the heart of Georgia where the climate and gently rolling landscape reminded them of similar European rural retreats oragriturismi.
Heinz and Maria bought the property, landscaped the grounds to perfection, renovated the interior of the farmhouse, expanded the dining area, and added four well-appointed guestrooms for visitors.Always an advocate for freshly-prepared foods served with artistry and imagination, Maria had perfected her cooking skills at a culinary school in Northern Italy. Her expertly-prepared Italian and Mediterranean-style cuisine, featuring high quality, fresh ingredients grown locally, draws discriminating diners to the farm on Friday and Saturday nights and on other holidays and special occasions.
The Dublin Farm welcomes individuals, couples, business travelers, and others seeking a relaxed, peaceful retreat in the U.S. countryside, coupled with exceptional cuisine at a reasonable price. Comfortable lodging is available at The Dublin Farm, complete with high-speed Internet connections in each spacious, private suite. Heinz, who lived and worked as a personnel consultant in downtown Munich, Germany for 17 years and near Milano, North Italy for almost 9 years, is quick to say that his current occupation as a landowner and bed and breakfast host in rural Georgia, USA is much more agreeable than the fast-paced metropolitan lifestyle he remembers. Heinz and Maria are eager to share their beautiful farm with local residents, travelers, corporate guests, and visitors from across the U.S. and abroad. They invite you to relax and enjoy the peace and pleasure of the countryside at The Dublin Farm in Dublin, Georgia, USA!
